Adapting to Our New Normal

Adapting to Our New Normal

Tracy Gathman, General Manager

This year has definitely not gone to plan. For Two Rivers Cooperative that meant some of our 100th Anniversary activities were unfortunately put on hold as we adapted to new guidelines. As of now, our Customer Appreciation Day is scheduled to go ahead on September 9. However, we are keeping a close eye on the situation in Marion county and will make a final decision by the end of July. We are excited to commemorate our 100 years of service to our devoted customers, members, and communities. Two Rivers was only possible because of the evolution and growth of our predecessors and we are so honored to be able to share that history with you. Expect activities such as:

  • An exhibit of years past with photos, materials, and stories collected from members
  • Two Rivers employees will be there to pump your gas, wash your windows and check your tires and oil just like the gas stations of the past
  • Kids activities and bouncy houses
  • Red Rock Threshers Tractor Show
  • Dunk tank with potential special guests

Last, but not least, we would like to give a big thank you to all who have been flexible with us as we all navigate around our new normal. Our employees have been working diligently to make sure you are provided with the necessary resources and going into this fall, and we appreciate everyone who worked with them to properly social distance. As our state has opened up, we have also loosened guidelines, but continue to remain vigilant and attentive to your health and safety. We will continue to be cautious to protect our customers, members, and employees. We ask that you continue to be patient as we monitor the situation and adapt moving forward.

We’re looking for any photos or artifacts that illustrate the last 100 years of our cooperative, including the Otley-Monroe Cooperative and Farmer’s Exchange Cooperative.
