Services Offered in 1995

The co-op built a new chemical facility because of increasing business and new environmental laws concerning secondary containment.

By the 75th Annual Meeting, the co-op had total sales of $11,633,000 with local savings of $203,650 and total savings of $356,650. The cooperative had 440 members, with member’s equity of $2,242,000 and total assets of $4,283,120.

The Grain Division had the availability of rail and truck markets; on-the-farm grain pickup services; a Grain Bank program; warehouse storage and price later programs; deferred payment; forward sell and offer contracts; plus competitive cash grain price bids.

The Feed Division offered top-quality Farmland feed items, with grinding, mixing, and delivery services to the farm. They also offered contracting programs for feed and feed supplements for those customers who wished to lock in a supply and a price for their livestock needs. Through Farmland Industries, there was a special program available for those who were considering entering into large scale feeding operations.

The Petroleum Division offered a full line of Co-op Co. and Farmland Oils and lubrication products, gasoline, diesel fuel, propane products and services, a key-trol pump facility, LP gas dryer, and grill repair services. The co-op also had LP tanks to rent or sell, so customers could use their contracting programs to lock in their energy needs in advance to save money on their overall fuel expenses.

The Agronomy Division offered a full-service agronomy dealership, with services of two full-time Certified Crop Consultants and a staff of Custom Applicators. The co-op provided complete custom spreading and spraying of fertilizers and crop protection products, and had four Big A machines, two state-of-the-art Row Gators, two Hagie Hi-Clearance sprayers, 13 dry fertilizer carts, three liquid fertilizer application units, nine anhydrous ammonia toolbars, and a host of nurse tanks.
